PSC is committed to serving the needs of our clients for innovative design services
that are cost-effective as well as sensitive to the impact on the environment. PSC
has on staff Professional Accredited Specialists in energy and environmental design. While
working though the United States Green Building Council's green building
rating system, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®), PSC offers
high quality and qualified expertise. LEED is based on accepted energy and environmental
principles and strikes a balance between emerging concepts and known effective
practices. It evaluates environmental performance from a "whole building"
perspective over the life cycle of a building. Accredited Professionals are
recognized as green building specialists that meet the supply and demand needs
of the building industry. PSC is dedicated to offering clients a better environment
for their community.
PSC recognizes that initiatives toward green buildings have an immense impact
on our natural environment, economy, health and productivity. Therefore, we
continually seek and educate all disciplines on innovations in building science,
technology, materials and operations that promote the "green building"
concept through maintaining ongoing associations with key industry and research
organizations and all levels of governmental agencies. PSC's key objective
in the global enterprise toward the success of green initiatives is to represent
the entire building industry on environmental building issues, and create a
distinct perspective to impact the way buildings are designed, built, operated,
and maintained.
It is through our constant monitoring and seeking out of new materials, products,
and systems that we are able to integrate these "green building" elements
into our everyday design practices. This integration occurs vertically, through
all our in-house disciplines, whether the project is deemed a "green building"
and a specific rating level has been established or not. We are finding that
the construction industry is responding to the global quest for a more environmentally
friendly built environment. In many instances, they are offering materials,
products, and systems that promote this cause without an increase in cost. Our
goal is to find, identify, and use these environmentally friendly materials,
products, and systems in our everyday practice and to bring options along with
their cost implications (if any) to owners so they can make an informed decision.
